Hi Ranga, I never tried that way. so not sure.. Jay documented the hard way also (next section of the post)...that works.
Since i used to test in VMs, the easiest method i feel is to grab the source tar ball from http://launchpad.net/drizzle/cherry/2010-03-15/+download/drizzle-2010.03.1347.tar.gz and try to ./configure and make. it will tell what all things are missing.. install them one by one. later you want, you can branch the source from version control (bzr) believe me, building drizzle is a breeze.
