No, they were to replace the mess in
/drizzled/function/time/date_add_interval.cc, but I never had time to
complete the work.  You can safely remove those classes and the
operators in TemporalInterval dealing with the interval specialization
classes.

Subtracting a date from another date produces another date, not an interval.

In any case, the code isn't used AFAIK.
