Hi Everyone,

I never figured out why the boost_program_options library wasn't installing correctly,
but I updated my version of Fedora to 13, and now making better progress
I have figured out most of the dependencies.
The following are the last 4 warnings I am trying to irradiate.

[tdav...@molly trunk]$ ./configure --prefix=/home/tdavies/hacking/dzzRepo/build/ | grep Error
configure: WARNING: libldap not found: not building auth_ldap plugin.
configure: WARNING: libgearman not found: not building gearman_udf plugin.
configure: WARNING: libgearman not found: not building logging_gearman plugin. configure: WARNING: Couldn't find rabbitmq c client support, rabbitmq log will not be built.

I am not familiar with these libraries. Does anyone know if they are apart of larger
package I can download via yum?

Cheers!
Travis

Depending on what you are trying to do, you might be able to play with Drizzle within the source tree and you won't need to install.

If you are still getting the same error, then obviously there is
some boost part missing, I would advice to use your distribution
    package install tool
    yum install boost-devel

        I'm using Fedora.
        I downloaded the Boost source
        compiled and installed.

        Hi,
How did you install Boost ?

        libboost-all-dev is what you need.

        sudo apt-get install libboost-all-dev

That depends on you operating system....

        Cheers

            Hi Everyone,

            Thanks for the quick response.

So where I am at now is:
I have installed the Boost library.
I have the .so files in /lib and both
.so files and header files in /usr/include/boost/
Both locations are in my $PATH.
Also verified that program_options libraries and headers
            are present.

but the configure script is still failing.
Where are these libraries supposed to be?
            Thanks in advance.

            Cheers
            Travis

            Hello Travis,

I believe you don't have Boost library installed.
please check this link for a list of prerequisites and
            how to install them:

                Hi Everyone.

Total Drizzle newbie here. Wondered if anyone has
                any idea about my situation.

Attempting to compile drizzle downloaded from the
                launchpad tree.
'./configure' works without error, and then 'make'
will compile without error as well.

                BUT!

                './configure --prefix=/home/yadda/yadda'
                kicks back:
                configure: error: boost::program_options is
                required for drizzle

Has anyone seen this before or can provide me with
                a "DOH!" Moment?

                Cheers!
                Travis
