Hi guys,

It was briefly discussed that we should do something with the variables
output at the end of drizzled --help (I think Brian brought it up). So
I have registered the following blueprint:

https://blueprints.launchpad.net/drizzle/+spec/move-help-variables

I think we should move this output to a new option such as
--print-variables or we should have something like --help --verbose.
What do you guys think?

Well, I certainly think they should be removed from --help. I'd be much
more in favor of a --print-variables option if we need one ... but it
seems like we could also implement this via something that does the
equiv of starting the server running show variables and exiting... or is
it important for this to be able to operate without the server starting?

Would like some more votes on this. I personally think this isn't needed as you could just start the server and do SHOW VARIABLES and for reference to defaults you can RTFM (when there is one). What do you guys think?

Kind Regards
