On a separate note, I was wondering about a pluggable hashing scheme for sharding, with probably a memcached style consistent hashing scheme as the default. Goes well with Drizzle's philosophy; users can optimize depending on their need.
Have not yet thought of it implementation, or API wise. It would be great however to have some general feedback on it.
