The deadline for student submissions to Google Summer of Code is fast
approaching. You now have less than 24 hours to submit your proposals. They
have to be in by 12pm (Noon) Pacific time, Friday April 8th (Tomorrow).

If you have already picked a project you can go to the following link to get
your application template: http://wiki.drizzle.org/GSOC_2011

Be sure to follow the guidelines on the wiki carefully and articulate as
thoroughly as you can to ensure the best chance of being selected. Most
importantly, get involved!

Here is some advice from one of our mentors:

1. Please take on some low-hanging-fruit
<https://bugs.launchpad.net/drizzle/+bugs?field.tag=low-hanging-fruit>

or other bugs so we can get a feel for your abilities and you can get used
to the code and merging processes.

2. Join #drizzle on Freenode IRC and feel free to chat to us, we work many
different timezones and sometimes it may take a while to respond.

3. If you haven't done so already, please introduce yourself on the mailing
list as well as the work you want to do.

4. Submit your proposal to

<http://www.google-melange.com/gsoc/homepage/google/gsoc2011>.

Happy Coding!
