>From my point of view for utilities it is ok to just use people's names, if there are 1-4 main creators. If there are more (for larger components like drizzled) then we should just have some common line like "Copyright (c) 1995-2011, by various Drizzle project contributors" Examples: "Boots command line database client. Copyright (c) 2010, Clark Boylan, Mark Goodman and other contributors." "Welcome to Drizzle. Copyright (c) 1995-2011 by Drizzle project contributors." If we wish to pay homage to our MySQL/Sun heritage (which is not a bad idea, imho), one could use something like. "Welcome to Drizzle. Copyright (c) 1995-2011 by Drizzle project contributors. Based on MySQL code copyright Sun Microsystems Inc." Finally, to all of the above, consider appending "See individual source files for details."
