HI Henrik,

Thanks for the details. I following the same approach since last couple of
days. I am assigning/removing IPv6 address to my local work machine through the
following commands:

ip -6 addr show dev <interface>
ip -6 addr add <ipv6address>/<prefixlength> dev <interface>
ip -6 addr del <ipv6address>/<prefixlength> dev <interface>

I can also ping my IPv6 address through ping6 as:

ping6 -I <interface> ipv6_address

Now I am trying to make mysql work with IPv6 through assigning (bind-address)
attribute in /etc/mysql/my.cnf

I didn't make it work yet but I was wondering whether Drizzle also has such
configuration file like my.cnf in mysql.

Thanks.

Subject: Re: [Drizzle-discuss] Drizzle IPv6 Support configuration

Hi Umair

Perhaps the IPv6 support was done such a long time ago that nobody
remembers anything about it :-)

Perhaps a good approach is to study the Linux IPv6 howto:
http://tldp.org/HOWTO/Linux+IPv6-HOWTO/

...then use the function names or struct names from there to find/grep
where in the Drizzle source code IPv6 support is implemented, then see
if you can configure Drizzle to listen on an IPv6 address and then
document all of this.

Note that the Linux howto is long like a novel! So the trick is to
digest all of that information so that you can say a few sentences or
a few paragraphs at most about how you use IPv6 on Linux (in general,
then be more specific about IPv6 in Drizzle).
