It seems the install instructions for Ubuntu and Debian do not yield 7.1. I just copy-pasted the instructions for Ubuntu (10.04) and got "Server version: 2011.03.13 Ubuntu"--that's 7.0!. The instructions for Debian are confusing because the resulting web page lists of bunch of non-relevant info to the poor user who just wants to "apt-get install drizzle" or download the .deb. In any case, the link http://packages.debian.org/sid/database/drizzle yields Drizzle 2012.01.30-4. :-(
