Hi, I have found an issue with the item mapper. Context is the following: dspace 4.x XMLUI with Solr / Discovery.
New items added to the repository can be searched using full-text and browsing by title, author or pub date. But when using the item mapper function, the new items cannot be retrieved. I have checked in the documentation but there seems to be no info about any particular configuration option. Theoretically, in XMLUI all the indexed fields can be used as search criteria in item mapper, but it seems that "item mapper" is not using the Solr / Discovery indexing engine in the same way as the "other search options". In the dspace.cfg I have seen this: #### XMLUI Discovery (extra Discovery setting that applies only to XMLUI) #### # uncomment the following configuration if you want to restore the legacy Lucene # search provider with XMLUI (be sure to re-enable also the search consumer) # plugin.single.org.dspace.app.xmlui.aspect.administrative.mapper.SearchRequestProcessor = \ # org.dspace.app.xmlui.aspect.administrative.mapper.LuceneSearchRequestProcessor Is it necessary to activate this param in order to use "item mapper"? Is it necessary to run any index-discovery command to ensure that the items are also visible through the "item mapper" search?
