Hi DSpace Community, I am using DSpace 8, and I am facing a serious stability issue with my installation.
The system used to work initially, but it would become unresponsive almost daily, after which I had to restart the services to get it working again. For the last 3–4 days, however, the problem has become much worse and DSpace is not working reliably even after restarting the services. I have already tried several troubleshooting steps suggested by ChatGPT and other resources, but I have not been able to identify the root cause. My current setup is: - DSpace version: 8.0 - OS: Ubuntu - Java: 17.0.18 - Angular UI: DSpace 8 Angular - Backend: Apache/Tomcat - Frontend: Angular SSR - Reverse proxy: Nginx/Apache - Database: PostgreSQL - Discovery: Enabled The REST API appears to be responding correctly. For example: curl -i https://dspacenew8-imu.refread.com/server/api returns HTTP 200 and the expected DSpace HAL response. However, the Angular UI/SSR returns HTTP 500 errors. I have also seen errors such as: ERROR Error: undefined doesn't contain the link sites ERROR Error: undefined doesn't contain the link systemwidealerts and: ERROR RangeError: Maximum call stack size exceeded The SSR process is running through PM2 on port 4000, but: curl -I http://127.0.0.1:4000 returns: HTTP/1.1 500 Internal Server Error I have also noticed that the issue seems to be related to the Angular SSR build/runtime, although I am not certain. Could someone please help me identify what logs or configuration I should check to determine why DSpace becomes unstable and why the Angular SSR process starts returning HTTP 500?
