Hi Teresa,

DSpace and DSpace-CRIS are currently being merged. The plan is to deliver a unified platform with DSpace 11, expected in May/June 2027, incorporating the functionality that is currently only available in DSpace-CRIS.

I'm not sure whether it would make more sense to wait until the merger is complete (in 6 months) and use DSpace 11 instead of two systems.

Read more about the merger here:
<https://dspace.org/announcement-dspace-dspace-cris-merger-approved-by-dspace-governance/>

Please note that DSpace 10 already includes some DSpace-CRIS features.
For details, see the DSpace 10 release notes:

Hello everyone,

I'm at the University of Nevada, Reno, and we're considering adding the DSpace-CRIS along with our DSpace repository. We're hosted through Atmire. However, we're interested in hearing from others about how they manage their CRIS, particularly if you mediate it or not. We're especially interested from hearing from those who are hosted by Atmire as well. Please feel free to email me here or at [email protected] if you have anything to share. I'd greatly appreciate it!
