Hello All, The DSpace Developers are in search of any DSpace sites that currently utilize and depend on the ElasticSearch (ES) Usage Statistics engine:
https://wiki.duraspace.org/display/DSDOC6x/Elasticsearch+Usage+Statistics This optional, secondary usage statistics engine was first added in DSpace 3.0, as an alternative to the default Solr Usage Statistics [1]. *Beginning in DSpace 6, the ElasticSearch (ES) Usage Statistics were deprecated.* We are in the process of completely removing them from the DSpace 7 codebase (see DS-3455 <https://jira.duraspace.org/browse/DS-3455>). As part of this effort, we are analyzing options for migrating any existing ElasticSearch usage data into the default Solr Usage Statistics (see DS-3285 <https://jira.duraspace.org/browse/DS-3285>). *If you are currently using or depending on ElasticSearch Usage Statistics (in DSpace 3.x - 6.x), we would like to talk to you about any plans to migrate your existing usage data into Solr Usage Statistics. *Currently, none of the core DSpace developers have sufficient test data for a migration, and we'd appreciate any help you or your team could provide. *If we do not hear from any current users of ElasticSearch Statistics, we may be forced to reschedule any migration work until sufficient test data becomes available. *This would mean we'd initially release DSpace 7 without any option to migrate ElasticSearch Statistics to Solr Statistics. Please get in touch via email, via ticket DS-3285 <https://jira.duraspace.org/browse/DS-3285> or via Slack <https://wiki.duraspace.org/display/DSPACE/Slack>. (If you are not sure which DSpace statistics engine you are using, it is very likely you are using the Solr Usage Statistics (enabled by default) [1] or using Google Analytics. Don't worry, both Solr Statistics and Google Analytics will continue to be supported in DSpace 7 and in the foreseeable future.)
