Robin Taylor commented on DS-568:
---------------------------------

Hi Claudia,

By design all metadatavalues are converted to, and stored as UTC dates, for you
-2 hours would be about right. The problem is that the full item metadata
display (in the JSPUI, haven't tried the XMLUI) doesn't convert the dates back
to local time before displaying them.

Not sure what the best solution is. It would be messy to have to identify all
dates before displaying them and convert them to a local time zone. I'm going
to move this discussion to the mailing list until we settle on a solution.

Cheers.

> Another date issue:
> During submission (both via UI and as import) time stamps are created
> differently:
> item table last_modified got "real" time
> whereas metadatavalues like dc.date.accessioned and dc.date.available got
> real time -2 hours
