Stuart, I don't know if you've seen this http://jira.dspace.org/jira/browse/DS-638 . This is what I did here to incorporate Jhove into Dspace. I believe Richard is using this in making his changes.

Stuart, JHOVE (and similar products like DROID) has been mentioned as part of the Curation System that Richard Rodgers (MIT) is working on for 1.7.0. Higher level proposal: https://wiki.duraspace.org/display/DSPACE/CurationTaskProposal More detailed description for Developers: https://wiki.duraspace.org/display/DSPACE/CurationSystem Also code at: http://scm.dspace.org/svn/repo/dspace/branches/dspace-curation/ Although JHOVE isn't specifically mentioned, there is mention of "format identification". I recall Richard had specifically mentioned JHOVE/DROID in the past. In any case, Richard's initial work is more of a *framework* for various curation activities -- I don't know that he had specifically started integrating JHOVE into this framework. But, at the very least, you may want to talk more with Richard to see if you can help him with the Curation framework or specifically with JHOVE integrations. I think the Curation System is still on track for a very initial release in 1.7.0 -- whether or not it will actually have a JHOVE component in that release, I'm not sure. - Tim On 10/1/2010 4:20 PM, Stuart Lewis wrote: > Hi all, > > I've been asked if anyone is working on any type of integration between > DSpace and JHove at the moment.
