Resolution: Fixed
The patch looks good to me. Just as a note (for others watching this ticket),
DSpace XMLUI already was properly *hiding* the User Registration links when
'xmlui.user.registration' was set to 'false'. However, this patch now also
ensures the user encounters an error if they manually typed /register on the
end of the URL while registration was disabled.
This has been committed to Trunk (r6510) and will be released in 1.8.0
