Hi DSpace Developers,

After seeing the success of weekly "office hours" in the Hydra (led by
Matt Zumwalt [1]) and Fedora (led by Chris Wilper [2]) developer
communities, I thought it sounded like a great concept to expand to the
DSpace developer community.

Here's how it will work:

Beginning tomorrow (Weds, May 16) from 12-3pm ET (17:00-20:00 UTC), I'll
be listening & lurking in the #duraspace IRC channel. Anyone is welcome
to join #duraspace IRC during that timeframe and chat with me about
whatever you'd like. The main purpose is to support the work of DSpace
developers & contributors by providing an opportunity to brainstorm, get
feedback, help answer questions, etc. As with all #duraspace IRC
discussions, public logs will be made available on
http://irclogs.duraspace.org/

More specifics on the weekly Wednesday Office Hours can always be found
here: https://wiki.duraspace.org/display/~tdonohue/DSpace+Office+Hours
I'll keep my Office Hours schedule updated on that page, so that you
will know in advance if I'm traveling or on vacation during a given week.

I hope to be able to chat with many of you in the coming weeks/months!

- Tim
