Hi,
I am a newbie to DSpace and so please correct me if I am wrong and please help me out in my issue. We have a very old dspace instance running in one of our server (It is been here even before I join this institute). I come from Networking background and now I need to manage Linux servers as well. I got only little idea of how dspace works. I would like to migrate the application to a new server with a new OS so that I can get a grip on the server and understand how things works.
I have successfully installed DSpace 1.8.2 in Ubuntu 10.04. Now, I need to migrate the data from my old server to the new one. Please let me know how it is done - whether I need to take postgre sql dump (if so, how it is done) etc...
Any help is greatly appreciated.
