In DSpace 1.8.x, the Mirage Theme doesn't support the XMLUI Google Analytics
configuration in dspace.cfg:
xmlui.google.analytics.key=UA-XXXXXX-X
You can see this bug on the Demo Site (http://demo.dspace.org/xmlui/) which
runs DSpace 1.8.2, has Google Analytics enabled and uses the Mirage Theme.
If you look at the DRI content on the demo site:
http://demo.dspace.org/xmlui/handle/10673/1?XML
You'll notice it has a Google Analytics key specified in:
/dri:document/dri:meta/dri:pageMeta/dri:metadata[@element='google'][@qualifier='analytics']
However, if you visit any page of the Demo Site:
http://demo.dspace.org/xmlui/handle/10673/1
You'll notice that the source doesn't include Google Analytics
At the same time, if you view the Demo site under a different theme (e.g.
Reference theme):
http://demo.dspace.org/xmlui/handle/10673/1?themepath=Reference/
You'll notice that Google Analytics will work properly under other XMLUI Themes.
I'm not sure yet if this bug affects all themes using dri2xhtml-alt base theme,
or if it is specific to the Mirage theme.
