Enabling the controlled vocabulary will prevent dc.subject fields from the
template to be added to the item as metadata, unless they are the values from
the vocabulary.
On the other hand it is possible to add non vocabulary field via the edit item
step, i.e. the controlled vocabulary is not applied to the edit item thus the
edit of templates too.
If the controlled vocabulary is supposed to control the dc.subject field, it
should be enabled in the
- edit item (template) form
- creation of template
Furthermore one would need mechanism for evolving/changing vocabularies.
