Richard Rodgers commented on DS-1354: ------------------------------------- Folks: I actually think neither option is preferable. The problem with CC license display is that the Manakin port of the JSPUI misinterpreted how it should work. The item page CC link was never intended to point to an internal bitstream at all - it was intended to resolve to a Creative Commons page (which the license URI actually does) - which would provide a 'contextualized' representation of the license. Instead, we got a series of bugs around trying to render the RDF internal bitstream correctly (wrong mime-type etc). The internal bitstream was only stored so it would form part of an AIP, etc I think the fix is to just display the correct CC license URL on the page. My 2 cents, Richard > in XMLUI, the creative commons link does not address the creative-commons > license, just the item page > ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ > > Key: DS-1354 > URL: https://jira.duraspace.org/browse/DS-1354 > Project: DSpace > Issue Type: Bug > Environment: *Location*: http://demo.dspace.org/xmlui/handle/10673/148 > *User-Agent*: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:16.0) Gecko/20100101 > Firefox/16.0 > *Referrer*: http://demo.dspace.org/xmlui/handle/10673/148 > *Screen Resolution*: 1440 x 900 > Reporter: emilio lorenzo > Labels: collector-60e7afac > Fix For: 3.0 > > > Just go to item http://demo.dspace.org/xmlui/handle/10673/51 and click in > the link (not the image) under "The following license files are associated > with this item:". The link is going to the item page, not any file or page > The same behaviour as the 1.8 version.
