Hi Tatevik, DSpace was not intended to be a federated search engine, so it doesn't have this functionality. DSpace can only search what's in DSpace, so technically you could harvest any content over OAI-PMH (e.g. from your OPAC, assuming it supports OAI-PMH) into DSpace and search for it there. But I wouldn't recommend it, sooner or later you'll want to connect other resources which do not support OAI-PMH. So look for a true metasearch engine, or even better a central index (Ebsco Discovery Service, Ex Libris Primo or Serial Solutions Summon) instead.
