Without write access to the deployment directory, customizing and testing theme
files can be time-intensive. In order to greatly reduce this time, I created
an ant target to copy files from
[dspace-src]/dspace/modules/xmlui/src/main/webapp to [dspace]/webapps/xmlui.
This bypasses the requirement to rebuild, while ensuring that all changes will
be maintained in future builds.
I've implemented this locally, and can create a pull request pretty quickly if
it's something that would be of useful.
I'm not familiar with the JSPUI anymore, but if the same functionality would be
helpful there, it should be easy enough to include.
