Hello helix. Perhaps this feature is not that relevant or applicable to the majority of repositories. I just added this new request feature based from our experience in our repository. The majority of the contents that we have right now in our repository were bibliographic records that were batch imported and most of them were not digitized or have no digital borne bitstreams. Perhaps if all those records have their bitstream available, I would rather use the request copy feature. Right now, some of our users were just using the feedback form to request for these records that have no associated files. Some were using the chat feature that I've added in our repository. Regarding the technical points, the email recipient can be set in dspace.cfg just like in the feedback form right? The fields that should be prefilled could be just the citation if its not null or the title, just like in the item recommendation feature in JSPUI. But if this feature would be just futile to the majority of repository users (if feedback form and contact us page will suffice), I have no objection if this ticket will be closed. Maybe this is just a "case to case" basis. I just have to contend to what we have right now. Cheers.. ;-)
