My main concern is that the Configurable Workflow is currently disabled by default, so it's not clear whether it is actually widely used or not.
It seems like we'd need to first ensure it is enabled by default (and recommend everyone migrate to it). Then deprecate the old workflow process and work towards removal. This would be similar to the process we've taken with Discovery vs. Lucene. First, we did the work of making Discovery enabled by default (and ensuring everything worked with it). Then, we deprecated Lucene. I do agree that, long term, it's best to stop supporting two workflow systems. But, before we can move towards deprecation, we will need to ensure Configurable Workflow is enabled out-of-the-box and supports all the features of the traditional workflow. - Tim On 7/9/2014 9:04 AM, Mark H.
