Good morning,

I have been investigating the LNI and WebDAV features of DSpace with the goal
of bulk importing info into DSpace. So far, it looks like it will serve my
needs.

Looking around, I see that we can view and update the information for an item,
but I was wondering how extensive this LNI interface is. Can we search the
repository through SOAP or WebDAV? (Does it even make sense to do so?)

I'm thinking of possible future needs where we might want to have DSpace act as
a raw repository and have a customized webpage present the data to the user.
For example, if I wanted my webpage to show titles of and links to the most
recently uploaded content, could I use SOAP/WebDAV to find those items?

(I may also be treading on the XMLUI/Manakin set of features, but from what I
can see so far, the learning curve is steep for someone who is not well versed
in Java.)

Thanks!
