Salary Range: £25,623 - £29,704 pa, pro-rata (£13.44 - £15.58 per hour)

Limit of tenure: available until 14 October 2012
Applications are invited for the temporary part-time post of 
dsp...@cambridge Support and Liaison Officer to provide technical 
support and guidance to all users of the dsp...@cambridge institutional 
repository. The post is available on a three days per week basis, with 
the post-holder working Wednesday, Thursday and Friday each week. This 
is an excellent opportunity to become involved in a rapidly developing 
area of digital library services.

The post-holder will share responsibilities on a day-to-day basis for 
supporting new and existing users by providing training and guidance to 
contributors through the process of depositing files, advising on 
intellectual property rights and metadata standards; and monitoring 
service quality on an ongoing basis. He or she will have experience of 
working in a digital context and will have an interest in the process of 
specifying system developments to meet the growing needs of users. The 
post-holder will promote the dsp...@cambridge service through an 
advocacy programme and liaison with academic departments and research 
groups.

Applicants should be enthusiastic and self-motivated and have a 
post-graduate qualification in library and information, information 
science, or a related area such as electronic publishing. They should 
have an good understanding of institutional repository, scholarly 
communication, digital library issues, and, knowledge of metadata 
schemes currently in use within the academic community. Excellent 
communication skills are essential.
