Hi Sara!

I augmented the metadata bulkedit system (export/import in CSV) so it allows:
1) selection of exported fields using a "format definition" file
2) identification of items by id or by handle
3) enhancing the export defined in the "format definition" file:
a) it is a CSV file that can be edited using a Spreadsheet program like Excel b) first row is the column headings of exported fields (selection of exported fields) c) supplementary rows are giving prefix and suffixes of HTML (or ASCII) characters for each fields when they exist in the exported file. So if the export "medium" is CSV, only exported fields list definition is used. If the export "medium" is HTML, HTML prefixes/suffixes are put around each field present
If the export "medium" is TXT, ASCII prefixes/suffixes are used.
This is in test at Belgium Poison Centre and will be made available in http://www.windmusic.org this month. We will be using first the "Vancouver" bibliographic format for records originating from PubMed.

Before beginning this, I opened a JIRA entry describing my intents:
https://jira.duraspace.org/browse/DS-700

Have a nice day!

Christophe

Hi all,
Are there any plans to make it easier to export bibliographic information from DSpace item records? I searched some, and it looks like MINDS@ UW wrote something to export to refworks:
http://minds.wisconsin.edu/handle/1793/11124
And @mire might provide something similar:
http://atmire.com/bibliography.php
And some more info:

One of our faculty members was asking about BibTex, specifically, and I was just trying to get a sense of whether that was a functionality that DSpace might offer in the future.
Thanks!
Best regards,
