That's a local customisation, written before DSpace 1.6 was released.
We've been having some problems with this module and are about to start
a re-write that integrates it better with the DSpace 1.6 statistics.

The customisations were done by Kim Shepherd -- if you've got any
specific questions, you may wish to ask him.
