I think technical questions (and yours probably counts as such) have more chances of getting answered on the DSpace Technical List: http://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/dspace-tech > I am new to DSpace and have taken over the support role for our > library that is using DSpace for content management. When I have attempted to > reindex DSpace via the dsrun org.dspace.browse.IndexBrowse -f -r > command, I get an error that says: 'ORA-00942: the table or view does > not exist'. The error you get when re-creating the indexes looks like something is wrong with your database. If nobody else responds to your e-mail, you may want to try re-running the command with -v (for verbose output) and re-posting your question to the Technical List, along with the full error message and any other output you get. > After looking at the metadata field registry, I've noted a number of > changes from the last time everything worked properly until now. More importantly, changes to the metadata field registry often mean that you have to make changes to your dspace.cfg file as well -- most definitely if changes are made to fields that are included in browse indices. The DSpace documentation has detailed information about setting up browse indices: https://wiki.duraspace.org/display/DSDOC/Configuration#Configuration-BrowseIndexConfiguration cheers, Andrea -- Andrea Schweer IRR Technical Specialist, ITS Information Systems The University of Waikato, Hamilton, New Zealand +64-7-838 4466 ext. 6972 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Special Offer-- Download ArcSight Logger for FREE (a $49 USD value)!
