Suresh, Yes, it's possible to restrict access to a specific Community or Collection to a specific group of users.
An example is available in our demo site, where the following community is access restricted: http://demo.dspace.org/xmlui/handle/10673/1086 We also have a sample access restricted Collection at: http://demo.dspace.org/xmlui/handle/10673/8331 In both cases, the way you restrict access to a Community or Collection is by editing it's authorization policies directly. E.g. in the XMLUI: 1) Login as an Admin 2) Visit the Community or Collection homepage 3) Click the "Edit Community" (or "Edit Collection") link 4) Visit the "Assign Roles" tab 5) Click the "Edit Authorization Policies Directly" link near the bottom of the page 6) Finally, change all "READ" policies to the Group that you want to have access to this Community or Collection. By default, "READ" is always set to the "Anonymous" Group.
