All, Today, in our weekly meeting, the DSpace developers decided to tentatively schedule the DSpace 1.7.1 (bug-fix only) release for March 25, 2011. Peter Dietz of Ohio State University Libraries will coordinate this minor release.
As you are aware, DSpace 1.7.0 was released on December 17, 2010. Since that time, DSpace 1.7.0 has proven to be very stable overall. However, we have discovered a few issues that we feel would be worth resolving before 1.8.0 is released in October 2011. The primary issues we will be working to fix for 1.7.1 revolve around bugs with SWORD-based submissions and Oracle compatibility issues. Other minor fixes will also be included in 1.7.1.
