Hello Karam,
the dublin core metadata registry of a default DSpace installation has
the field
dc.contributor.advisor
Scope: Use primarily for thesis advisor.
If you want another field, log in as admin and add it to the metadata
registry.
Then add the labels to the language catalogue you use. Theses labels are
not used in the input forms but in other places like the item display,
so it is a good practice to add the appropriate labels to every metadata
field added.
Any registered metadata field can be used in the input forms.
In order to add a field to the input form you got to change
/dspace-source/dspace/config/input-forms.xml
You can add a field to a page in the form
<field>
<dc-schema>dc</dc-schema>
<dc-element>contributor</dc-element>
<dc-qualifier>advisor</dc-qualifier>
<repeatable>true</repeatable>
<label>Thesis advisor</label>
<input-type>name</input-type>
<hint>Enter the names of the advisor(s) of this thesis
below.</hint>
<required></required>
</field>
