Hi Richard,
The DuraSpace organization will be launching a hosted DSpace repository called
DSpacedirect in the summer. We are currently identifying the use cases and
interest in the community. From there we will pick 5-10 initial users to
launch the service ( that is underway right now). If all goes smoothly we
will do a public launch this summer and update all the information on the
website appropriately.

DSpacedirect will be hosted on Amazon, run and managed by DuraSpace. DuraSpace
will really only be offering "vanilla" DSpace, so we will not offer any
customizations or special support. We are working with our registered service
providers to either refer those users, or provide them with whatever added
support they need beyond what we can offer.

To date we have had unbelievable interest from the broader community both in
the USA and abroad, mainly organizations that are not currently using DSpace or
have a repository but want to get started providing public access to their
content. So we are really excited about the prospect of being able to help
this sector of the community that has little to no technical infrastructure and
minimal requirements.
Hope that helps,

MIchele
