https://wiki.duraspace.org/display/cmtygp/DCAT+Meeting+Agenda+June+11%2C+2013

Anyone from the community is welcome to attended. Dial in instructions can be
found on the agenda
(https://wiki.duraspace.org/display/cmtygp/DCAT+Meeting+Agenda+June+11%2C+2013).
Toll free international numbers are available.

For anyone not familiar with the DSpace Community Advisory Team (DCAT)
(https://wiki.duraspace.org/display/cmtygp/DSpace+Community+Advisory+Team), the
group works with the committers on projects of interest to the community and
helps review some JIRA issues (https://jira.duraspace.org/browse/DS). The goal
of the DCAT review is to help move JIRA issues along by fleshing out
requirements or ideas for implementation, as well as recruiting developers and
other community members to work on the request. DCAT generally selects the new
feature requests which appear to be of broad interest in the community. DCAT
discussions are documented and are always open to the entire community for
comment/feedback
(https://wiki.duraspace.org/display/dsforum/DCAT+Discussion+Forum) or in JIRA
directly (https://jira.duraspace.org/browse/DS). DCAT has also been very
involved in the DSpace Futures projects and in particular the proposal for
improving metadata support in DSpace
(https://wiki.duraspace.org/display/DSPACE/Updating+the+Qualified+Dublin+Core+registry+in+DSpace+to+the+latest+standards+of+the+DCMI).

Additionally, there is a DCAT Google Group mailing list for members
(http://groups.google.com/group/DSpaceCommunityAdvisoryTeam), but it is mainly
used for logistics. All material DCAT discussions are conducted either on the
DCAT Discussion Forum or in JIRA. That said, DCAT Google Group is also open for
anyone in the community to join.

If you have questions or are interested in becoming a DCAT member, please
contact me at vhollis...@duraspace.org.
