Here are some answers to your questions:
1) You will have to check the "webui.itemlist.sort-option" option in
the dspace configuration file (dspace.cfg). In this option you declare the
sort options.
2) You will need to enhance your database table of "eperson" as well as
to write some code (jsp + java) to support the new fields.
3) I do not think that this is possible out of the box right now..

Hi All
Please let me know:
1. I have added some fields to the Browsing Collection by Title:
Defaults fields are:
Issue Date , Title , Authors
After changes the fields are
Publication Date , Title , Community.
How can the List be sorted in order of the Publication Date.
2. Is it Possible to add more fields apart from FirstName ,
LastName , Contact Telephone in the User Profile field and if so then how?
3. Also when a new user register to Dspace Login a request to
Dspace administrator should be send for confirmation, is it Possible?
