Hi.
When we browse by author, say, we can see a line of letters (and numbers) that seem to be indexes. Just below that letters-links, is a box saying "or enter first few letters". I couldn't figure out exactly what they do, I mean, how they work. It seems to have kind of weird behaviour.
I'm not sure but intuition says this is related to character enconding but I can be badly wrong.
Where can I find documentation on that?
