This is the response for message 5: Question about permissions and metadata
 
1. You can edit the collection you want to restrict access. Click edit 
collection, then click "Assign Roles". Under the Assign Roles, there is 
"Default read access" and click the Restrict Button, and then select the 
E-People and Groups who you want to access this collection.
 
2. You need to create the Groups first.
