Hi there,

Each item in DSpace has an owning_collection. If you edit a record that has
already been assigned to a collection you will see that there is an option to
move the item to a different collection which will change the owning_collection.

However if you simply want to associate the item in one collection with a
second or third collection you need to use the Item mapper function.

This is accessed via the collection to which you wish to map the item. So in
your example if the item's owning_collection is Taxonomy, then you would go to
the Distribution collection and (always assuming you are logged in with the
correct permissions) choose the Item mapper option. You'll then be promoted to
search for the item you want to map to this collection.

See https://wiki.duraspace.org/display/DSDOC4x/Mapping+Items for more detail or
consult the documentation matching your current release of DSpace.

Subject: [Dspace-general] ONE item from TWO different collections

how could I refer to ONE item from TWO different collections? For example, and
item intitled "About the presence of Cissus gossypiifolia in Cuba" refered
from the collections "Taxonomy" and "Distribution"?
