Hi, we use slightly extended NLM for exposing the content via OAI (for example see http://oai.dml.cz/request?verb=GetRecord&metadataPrefix=eudml-article2&identifier=oai:oai.dml.cz:10338.dmlcz/142931).
However, the XML in this NLM format is prepared standalone, then uploaded to DSpace to a certain BUNDLE (we have our own import code using DSpace Java API). To expose it, we have implemented DisseminationCrosswalk (it takes the stored XML a just copy it to the "output") and consequently use it for OAI.
