Hi Thiago, Claudia's previous answer should be correct, if I'm understanding what you are describing. By default the "Browse by Author" screens is configured to browse by "dc.contributor.*" or "dc.creator". This configuration is in the "dspace.cfg" on this line: https://github.com/DSpace/DSpace/blob/dspace-6_x/dspace/config/dspace.cfg#L1028
To change that option to only use "dc.contributor.author", you'd want to modify that line to *only* list "dc.contributor.author", so it should look like this: webui.browse.index.2 = author:metadata:dc.contributor.author:text After making that modification, you will need to restart Tomcat, and then *reindex all your content* by running: [dspace]/bin/dspace index-discovery -b The end result should be that your Browse by Author option should then only use the "dc.contributor.author" field.
