Hi Marc,

We are using DSpace 6.3 (non-CRIS) and when bitstream READ authorizations (aka
resource policies) are *not* set for any user/group (especially Anonymous!),
then only full DSpace administrators can see/manage the bitstream.

Subject: [dspace-tech] Hiding Files/Bitsteams from regular users

Caution: This message was sent from outside the University of Manitoba.

Dear List,

Is it poossible to hide a particular file/bitstream from anybody but the
administrators, whilst still having the rest of the item visible. I know you
can set read permissions on the bitstream but this still makes it visible and
as we have request a copy setup, this usesr would see this instead of the
download.

We currently have DSPACE CRIS 5.10, but I think this is also applicable to non
cris versions. I have looked in the documentation and done the usual googling,
but can not seem to find a way of achieving our goal. A point in the right
direction would be greatly appreciated

kind regards
Marc
