Hi Vijay, the "internal error" is of no use without detailed information, better post the stack trace.
An educated guess, check your email settings in dspace.cfg and make sure you are able to send emails. Furthermore if you are using 1.4 with Manakin it might be better to upgrade to the latest release in which Manakin is integrated as the xmlui.
