I´ve installed dspacev. 1.5.1 in another server and a I have the same problem
when somebody wants to subscribe to a collection sow Internal error. is there
something else that I must do? I already replaced the contact-information
[email protected] by [email protected] in the files:
-config/emails/change_password
-config/email/register
and the dspace.cfg in the lines:

# SMTP mail server
mail.server=smtp.myu.edu
# SMTP mail server authentication username and password (if required)
# mail.server.username = myusername
# mail.server.password = mypassword
# From address for mail
mail.from.address = [email protected]

mail.admin = [email protected]
