Mika,

To try and clarify. The Minho Stats add-on gathers usage data from the
Dspace log file ([dspace]/log/dspace.log). This log file is written to
from either the JSPUI or the XMLUI, and both interfaces attempt to write
the same *format* of logs. So, yes, the Minho Stats Add-On is able to
also gather usage data from the XMLUI (as its usage data is written to
that log file).

However, as pointed out, the Minho Stats Add-On currently has no
interface that works with the XMLUI. This means that although the Minho
Stats Add-on could gather statistics for the XMLUI, those statistics
cannot be viewed unless you view them through the JSPUI.

So, in general, the Minho Stats Add-On requires running the JSPUI to
view the statistics. It will not work for you if you only want to run
the XMLUI. Hopefully in the future, there will also be an XMLUI
interface, so that those who use strictly the XMLUI can also use the
Minho Stats Add-On.
