Hi,

You could try using a script (bash) with a repetitive that use the dsrun 
org.dspace.app.itemimport.ItemImport command for every item you want to import. 
The item's information (files location, submitter, etc) could be in a text file 
(or several) and the repetitive would read them in every iteration.
