Hi Mika, If you compare
http://www.postgresql.org/docs/8.1/static/sql-altersequence.html with http://www.postgresql.org/docs/8.3/static/sql-altersequence.html You'll note that the "ALTER SEQUENCE [name] OWNED BY [table_name]..." syntax doesn't exist in Postgres 8.1.x I had a quick look at the pg_dump manpage and didn't see any obvious "maximise compatibility" options, so I think this one might need fixing by hand. It shouldn't be too hard to massage the SQL into something 8.1 will accept, but the different ALTER SEQUENCE syntax could be the first of many similar problems.... nothing some good sed/perl regexes won't fix ;) Cheers, Kim -- Kim Shepherd IRR Technical Specialist ITS Systems & Development The University of Waikato New Zealand DDI +64 7 838 4025 > -----Original Message----- > From: mikan.d.dspace listmail [mailto:[email protected]] > Sent: Thursday, 11 June 2009 11:38 p.m. > To: Dspace Tech > Subject: [Dspace-tech] Error importing database dump > > Im moving one of our DSpace insntances to a new server.
