Hi Marvin, we had similar problems. First, you need to download the correct Oracle jdbc driver from Oracle. It has to fit your Oracle version and the java version you are using. Then you need to install it into the Maven repository before you start mvn -Ddb.name=oracle package
When you do the mvn install you have to make sure that you enter the version number as you downloaded in the -Dversion parameter. That may differ from the DSpace manual. mvn install:install-file -Dfile=ojdbc14.jar -DgroupId=com.oracle \ -DartifactId=ojdbc14 -Dversion=10.2.0.2.0 -Dpackaging=jar -DgeneratePom=true However, we could not do this with the version 10.2.4 and reverted back to 10.2.0.2 Best wishes, Francis _______________________________________ From: Marvin Weaver [[email protected]] Sent: 30 July 2010 18:10 To: [email protected] Subject: [Dspace-tech] [Fwd: 1.5.2,oracle10g,solaris10 mvn fails] Since no one replied to my query on this using dspace-1.5.2-src-release, I decided to try dspace-1.5.2-release. I did install ojdbc14 into maven as described in the Dspace Manual. I don't quite understand what I'm supposed to do. Am I to download the missing files and deploy them to maven before or after the mvn build failed? As I said I had already installed the ojdbc14 before when I was building the source version.
