We're running DSpace 1.6.2, using the xmlui as our primary interface. We've just noticed that the following two searches:
Smith,John Smith, John ...return very different results. In the simple search, the first term (without a space after the comma) gets 72 hits; the second, with a space, returns 3369. This is true whether we do the search in the xmlui or the jspui. There are comparable difference with any name, and there's a similar difference if we do an advanced search limited to author. I have no idea if this is new behavior; but we've never noticed it before. Anybody else?
