There may be many processes involved.  Anything that uses the DSpace
API will touch the logs.  That includes webapps running in your your
servlet container (probably Tomcat) as well as command-line tools
('dspace', 'dsrun', and others in [DSpace]/bin) that you run
interactively or which are run by cron.  All of these uses should be
run in the same account.
